Some major projects that I’m working on wrapping up and then some that I’ve been getting ready to start.

Americus

My first graphic novel! Here’s a short synopsis:

Neal Barton just wants to read in peace. Unluckily for him, some local Christian activists are trying to get his favorite fantasy series,  The Chronicles of Apathea Ravenchilde, banned from the Americus public library on grounds of immoral content and heresy. Something has to be done, and it looks like quiet, shy Neal is going to have to do it. With youth services librarian Charlotte Murphy at his back, Neal finds himself leading the charge to defend the mega-bestselling fantasy series that makes his life worth living.

Americus is written by MK Reed and drawn by Jonathan Hill, and is published by First Second Books.

The first chapter of Americus was published in Papercutter #7 in 2008, and was nominated for the Outstanding Short Story Ignatz

The Searchers

That title might change, but this will be my next project and my first solo graphic novel. It’s still in the development stage, but I hope to have more news up soon. Keep checking back!
